CONFIRMATION
All booking enquiries are provisional until we confirm the booking via email.
BOOKING FEES
For Afternoon Tea you will be required to pay a booking fee of £5 per person. We will contact you directly to make payment. This booking fee will be deducted from the final bill amount. Any no shows for group bookings may lose their booking fee money. If you are booking just to order from our menu and not Afternoon Tea we will not require a booking fee.
GUEST NUMBERS
We can comfortably seat up to 12 at our largest table. Any larger parties can be accommodated but will need to be discussed further to provide you with this.
CANCELLATION
Booking fees are non-refundable should you cancel or move the date of a confirmed booking less than 24hours prior to the booking. Additionally, should you cancel a confirmed booking on the day; we serve the right to keep the booking fee and charge fully for the chosen menu based on the number of guests anticipated. Charges apply to Afternoon Tea only.
MENUS AND DRINKS
Almost all of our dishes are prepared in our kitchens where nuts are used. So any dish may contain nuts or traces of nuts. Kindly ask a member of staff if unsure or for any guidance.
No personal food and drink items to be brought inside the restaurant premises.
TIMINGS AND WAITING TIMES
If you are booking for Afternoon Tea we allocate you 2 hours for your booking and reserve the right to make a following booking after your time of 2+ hours should we be busy and need to do so.
LOSS AND DAMAGE
We advise all guests, Please do not leave any personal belongings unattended at any time. As we, The Teashop, will not be liable or responsible for any loss, theft or damage to your personal belongings.
INVOICING AND ACCOUNTS
We accept all major credit cards and cash.
GRATUITY AND VAT
We do not add on tips to any bills, we leave that up to you should you like to do so. 100% of service goes to our staff and is not deducted to management.
RESTAURANT RULES
Kindly assist your children at all times during your visit at our restaurant. As management do not take any responsibility or liability for any accident occurred with any unattended children during your visit to the restaurant.
We make every effort to have high chair availability for your visit however it is subject to demand and at peak hours we do not guarantee this unless you confirmed this requirement at the time of booking.
We allow well behaved dogs inside and out on our front decking area, we just ask that you are mindful that others customers may not like dogs and to be mindful of this.
PURPOSE AND SERVICE
This site is intended to provide a simple and convenient service to our customers enabling them to see our menu and make booking enquiries with us online.
CHANGES
We always try and ensure all information given on the website is accurate, but it is subject to change without notice. It is not intended to give rise to any legally binding obligation and may not be considered to make any representation on any matter.
PAYMENTS AND RECEIPT
We use Zettle by PayPal as our preferred payment system. Our machine can provide you with a printed receipt at the time of payment, please ask us to provide this for you. We are also able to email and text receipts. Your details are not kept on our database and we respect the Data Protection Act 2018. Your details are not kept by us nor passed on to a third party.
DISCLAIMER
We are a family run and local business, we are not a chain and act as a sole trader. All our food is locally sourced and freshly prepared on our premises, The Teashop, High Street, Brasted TN161JE. We do not buy any products or cakes in from another supplier to ensure we remain firm on our ethos of ‘homemade’ or ‘freshly prepared’
